What Is It

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a multi-step account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password.  Examples of multi-factor authentication are:

  • One-time passwords or codes
  • Something you know, such as a password, passphrase or personal identification number (PIN)
  • Something you have, such as a token or smartcard
  • Something you are, such as a biometric like a fingerprint

Who Is Eligible to Use It

This service is provided for Students, Faculty, and Staff.
